Election Update
I would like to take a moment to thank everyone who helped with Tuesday’s bond proposal, even though it didn’t pass. There were 960 yes votes and 1353 no votes. As a district, we will begin to strategize how we will address our needs in the future (they’re not going away). It will be up to the Board of Education and administration to regroup and assess how we are going to address the district's needs.
We still have a wonderful school district with many hard-working, supportive people who care greatly about our students and community. We will get through this together. Although we are disappointed with the result, our staff will continue to work hard to make sure every student’s needs are met.
The focus will be where it always is: on the students! Regardless of what happened with the bond proposal, it is great to be a part of the Gwinn Area Community Schools’ family!
Thank you again to everyone who worked hard on the proposal!
Go Modeltowners!
